Jour Ensoleille Review, and Chanel Baudruchage Video

Thanks, Birgit, for your beautifully written review of Jour Ensoleille on Olfactoria’s Travels! Glad you like it!

When I sent out the parfum bottle for the Nostalgie drawing winner today, I was wishing I was an expert at baudruchage (a traditional method of securing the stopper with thread or cord). Here’s a fun little video that shows how Chanel hand ties and wax seals each parfum bottle. I need lessons! 🙂

I loved the video on the Chanel bottle. I like little FYI things like that! By the way, I’m loving Nostslgie and know ill need a big bottle soon! Someone was sitting next to me in a work project a few days ago from Wash state (i’m in CT) and asked me what I was wearing so I brought her in one of the samples you sent me….she was thrilled!

      Hi Charlene,
I watched that video several times and still can’t quite figure out how she did that cord! Glad you’re enjoying Nostalgie and thanks for sharing it! 🙂

  2. You did a pretty darned good job, Laurie! It looked nice and felt secure.
